Even I have to laugh when I read “the big one,” since Chloe is still only just four.

She will soon be starting kindergarten, and seems unsure as to whether this is great news or a disaster. Some days she'll pack her little red satchel, which she got from her grandparents at Christmas as a kindergarten bag, and want to head off straightaway. Then other days there are tears because she realizes she won't see her parents or, more importantly, her darling brother, for a few hours. But I'm sure that'll all change as soon as she has made a few friends at kindergarten.
